PTK, short for “Produksjonsteknisk konferanse” is a technical conference held annualy by Fornybar Norge in Trondheim, and focuses on techincal aspects related to power production in Norway. Much focus was about the future and scale of the wind power expantion happening in Norway. SysOpt’s contribution to the PTK conference were about the work done to achieve super-flexible hydropower generating units through real-time voltage control and capability boosting of the synchronous generator. The main presenter was our project leader in SysOpt, Thomas Øyvang, and supplementary technical information was presented by the SysOpt Ph.D. candidate, Emil Melfald.
